Sandy Smith of Womble Carlyle is a Senior Partner in Womble Carlyle’s Corporate and Securities Group. He graduated from Stanford University in Palo Alto, and later served on the Board of Trustees of Stanford University. He also studied at The Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where he received his MBA. Smith received his Juris Doctorate from Duke University Law School.

Smith seeks to make a difference in his community and is engaged in community service in healthcare, education and diversity. Sandy Smith serves on the advisory board of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and is the Board Chair for the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences at Stanford University (IRiSS). Sandy Smith serves as a Trustee of the Rabun Gap Nacoochee School, Founder and Trustee of Odyssey Atlanta, and is on the Board of Advisors for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Sandy Smith served on the board of The Martin Luther King Papers Project, Alumni Board of The Westminster Schools and was also the Trustee of The Paideia School and the Columbia Seminary.
